Dichroic filter

The design is based on reflecting light through the barrier at an angle of incidence of either 0° or 45°.

The "long pass filter" transmits wavelengths that are longer than a specified cut-on wavelength over a broad range. In contrast, the "short pass filter" transmits wavelengths that are shorter than a specified cut-off wavelength over a broad range. The "dichroic filter" has a similar function but is designed to reflect light in the stop band. All filters are designed for an incident angle of either 0° or 45°. 【Features】 ■ Transmits wavelengths longer than a specified cut-on wavelength over a broad range ■ Transmits wavelengths shorter than a specified cut-off wavelength over a broad range ■ Assumes reflection of light in the stop band ■ Designed for an incident angle of either 0° or 45° *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Dichroic Filter

Dichroic filters (color separation filters) are used in many applications that require the isolation of a range of visible light.

- More general applications include color enlargers and copiers as optical balance filters. - Applications that may benefit from separating incident energy from two or more light beams could be desirable. - The spectral curves below are displayed at a normal incident angle, but in many applications that combine colors, it is preferable to use them in reflection mode at an incident angle of 45°. - The stringent manufacturing of these filters uses durable insulating films that show no degradation over years of use. - They are characterized by being very stable, with very little loss of efficiency over time.

Dichroic filter allows for advanced color separation and synthesis!

It is an optical filter that transmits light of a specific wavelength while reflecting light of other wavelengths. It transmits visible light of a specific wavelength and reflects its complementary color.

【1】Are you facing any of these issues? ◆Can you transmit light of specific wavelengths while reflecting others? ◆Can you create a filter to control RGB (red, green, blue) colors? ◆What are effective filters for fluorescent imaging? ◆Is customization possible for focusing on specific wavelength bands or removing unwanted wavelengths? ◆Is it possible to ship parts with special shapes? 【2】What is a dichroic filter? A dichroic filter is an optical filter that transmits light of specific wavelengths while reflecting light of other wavelengths. It allows visible light of a specific wavelength to pass through and reflects its complementary color, enabling color separation and color synthesis. Due to the absence of light loss from absorption or scattering, it allows for high-efficiency color separation and synthesis, and is used in many optical devices such as cameras, spectrometers, laser applications, and optical microscopes. 【3】Features ・Wavelength selectivity: Transmits light of specific wavelength bands while reflecting other wavelengths ・Use in optical devices: Used in optical devices such as cameras, spectrometers, and microscopes ・Fluorescent imaging: Utilized in biology and medicine for fluorescent imaging, allowing simultaneous detection of fluorescent substances at different wavelengths.

[Case Study] Achieving Coating Resistant to Strong Light Source Output

For more realistic and larger-scale visual productions, further enhancement of the projector's capabilities is needed!

The "dichroic filter" has the ability to separate colors of light and is used for purposes such as expressing specific colors or cutting ultraviolet and infrared light. However, increasing the light intensity can cause the coating to absorb heat, which not only prevents it from demonstrating its film-forming performance but also poses a risk of damaging or degrading the substrate. Our company has a proven track record of combining various coating technologies to create coatings with complex performance characteristics. In this case, we provided a coating that maintains the required performance, such as ultraviolet light cutting, while suppressing heat absorption and excelling in "heat resistance" and "laser resistance." [Case Overview] ■ Challenge: Enhance the durability of high-brightness projectors and achieve clarity in images. ■ Solution: Impart "durability" and "laser resistance" through complex thin-film design and processing technology. ■ Featured Product: Dichroic Filter *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Dichroic filter

Introducing our optical filters, such as UV cut filters and IR cut filters!

This product is an optical filter that utilizes light interference from thin films to reflect specific wavelengths of light while allowing other wavelengths to pass through. By allowing the desired wavelengths of light to pass through and reflecting the unwanted wavelengths, it enables wavelength separation. We offer a "UV Cut Filter" that cuts ultraviolet (UV) light while allowing visible light to pass through, an "IR Cut Filter" that cuts infrared (IR) light while allowing visible light to pass through, and a "Non-Polarized Edge Filter" that suppresses the separation of transmittance. 【Product Lineup】 ■ UV Cut Filter ■ IR Cut Filter ■ Non-Polarized Edge Filter *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
